The Mississippi Melons are hosting the 2nd annual Debra Turner Golf Tournament, benefiting Susan G. Komen 3-Day for The Cure on June 5, 2010 at Wedgewood Golf Club. Net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure benefit breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.The Mississippi Melons have once again committed to walk 60 miles and raise $30,000 to help fight breast cancer. We will accomplish this by participating in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, a 60 mile walk which takes place in several cities across the US. This year we are walking in San Diego. Each walker has to raise $2300 in order to participate in the event. This tournament will serve as our largest fundraiser this year.We offer you the opportunity to become involved with a tournament that is quickly becoming a community favorite. We hope that you will partner with the Mississippi Melons in supporting the work of the Breast Cancer 3-Day by participating in and/or providing a donation for our golf event.
